Topplr
Brand + Application Interface
Topplr is a self-serve voter microtargeting, analytics, and ad-delivery web application that connects directly to political campaign’s Facebook pages. The name Topplr comes from the idea to Topple. Focused on preventing budgets from determining elections and ensuring underdogs have access to tools on-par with incumbents, Topplr promotes the democratic change of power structures. The logo holds multitudes, with the triangle (Delta) referencing the scientific sign of change, and the shifting blocks of color making a visual nod to the ebb and flow of the two party system. Brandon has built a full brand based on these ideas, integrating the visual style into iconography, a wide variety of social media ads, and a robust marketing website.
Moving beyond the strictly visual, Brandon coordinates user testing sessions to assess new interfaces and conducts user interviews to better understand product experiences. He maps new interfaces, develops prototypes and works with the development team to plan product updates.
Topplr won the Gold Pollie for Best Ad Technology Innovation from the American Association of Political Consultants in 2020 and was a nominee for Campaigns and Elections’ Most Innovative Product award in 2019.
